See demonstrations of early 1900’s crafts in an authentic period setting. The Interpreters and volunteers at Le Village historique acadien will greet you in their homes and buildings and you will be astounded by the ingenuity of our autonomous ancestors.

Creating a Gemstone

Studio Location: 72 William Street, Yarmouth
Cost: $40. (Materials included)
Work to cut, shape on the grinders and polish a Nova Scotia agate stone.

Bring along a hook and a hoop – or these can be loaned.

Wire Wrapping Beach Glass Jewellery

Cost: $10.
Beach glass, beads and wire provided but participants may bring along their own broken jewellery, beach glass or other stone pieces.

Cost:  $12. (All materials supplied).

Rug Hooking for Beginners ....and Beyond            
Maximum 12 
Time: 10 am  to 3 pm
Location: Burridge Campus - Gymnasium Stage
Instructor: Shirley Bradshaw
Cost: $44. (“Synergy” pattern, wool strips and backing included)
Bring your own hoop, or a borrowed one, a hook, scissors, permanent marker, pencil and paper. New hoops and hooks will be available if you wish to purchase your own.
